Hair By Ash - Terms of Business 

1. Introduction

  • 1.1 These Terms of Business govern the services provided by Hair By Ash ("we", "us", or "our") to clients ("you").

  • 1.2 By booking an appointment with us, you agree to these Terms of Business.

2. Services

  • 2.1 We provide mobile hairdressing services at the location specified by you.

  • 2.2 We will use reasonable skill and care in providing our services.

  • 2.3 All services are subject to availability and may be affected by unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions or illness.

3. Appointments and Cancellations

  • 3.1 Appointments must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.

  • 3.2 We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee of the agreed service cost.

  • 3.3 If we need to cancel or reschedule an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer an alternative appointment.

4. Pricing and Payment

  • 4.1 Prices for services will be communicated at the time of booking and are subject to change.

  • 4.2 Payment is due immediately upon completion of the service and can be made via cash, bank transfer, or other agreed payment methods.

  • 4.3 Deposits may be required for certain appointments, and these are non-refundable if you cancel without sufficient notice.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • 5.1 You must ensure that the location provided for the service is safe and suitable for hairdressing activities.

  • 5.2 If additional travel costs apply due to your location, these will be communicated at the time of booking.

  • 5.3 You must inform us of any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions that may affect the service.

6. Liability

  • 6.1 We will not be liable for any damage or injury caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to reactions to products that you have not disclosed sensitivities to.

  • 6.2 Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the specific service provided.

7. Complaints and Disputes

  • 7.1 If you are unhappy with the service, please inform us within 48 hours so we can address the issue.

  • 7.2 We aim to resolve any concerns amicably and encourage open communication to reach a satisfactory outcome.

8. Data Protection

  • 8.1 We will handle your personal data in accordance with UK data protection laws.

  • 8.2 Your information will only be used for providing services and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.

  • 8.3 We may take before and after photographs of your hair for our records and promotional purposes. By booking an appointment, you consent to us using these images unless you notify us otherwise.

9. Governing Law

  • 9.1 These Terms of Business are governed by Scottish law, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Scotland.
